With friends like these.......

As I was leaving from my interview in RI yesterday (I think it went extremely well, but I don't wanna jinx it), I got a call from my friend telling me she had an extra ticket for tonight. Of course with Curt Schilling on the mound I jumped at it. I have been told from others that the seats she gets from time to time are pretty good, so I was a little psyched.

Well, it turns out that "Pretty good" just doesn't cover it. These were the best seats I have ever sat in at Fenway for as long as I can remember, and that includes the wonderful Monster Seats. The seats were field level between the Red Sox dugout and the on deck circle with a great close up view of the mound and plate. I took some really good pictures from my seat that you can find on my new Red Sox page. As a bonus, the Sox won 9-3 with home runs by Manny and Pokey(!!!) We didn't get into the park in time for the Ray Charles tribute before the game, but that's minor compared to the great time we had. Being at the last place I ever saw him perform the day he died was poetic enough.

I cannot thank my friend enough of thinking of me when she had this extra ticket. I owe her big time!!
