Here comes the monthly job rant!!

Stayed home from The Gulag today. I have had a headache almost consistently for 2 weeks now, although they do go away with Advil. The Mrs. has tried to get me to go to the doctor but I think I think it's mostly stress related so I do think going to my medical doctor will do any good as he would probably just give me larger Advil to take. I'll give the headaches another week and do something about it if they are still there.

I just have so much stress right now with The Gulag and other things. I have gone off my diet for now until Labor Day figuring that starting up again in the fall is easier given the social schedule I have this month, although I am still watching what I eat for the most part. I really needed that night out with The Mrs. last weekend (thanx,
Mommabean!!), but it ended way too soon. I'm looking forward to WorldCon, but that's a month away and lodging details are still up in the air.

I guess I'm really hoping on that position I waiting to hear about. I'll call to follow up again this week, but my chances is probably slight at this point, but it's all I have to cling to. I look at the Monster board and other job sites but, frankly, there is nothing out there better than what I'm doing both in job satisfaction and pay.

The only thing that keeps me going at this point is my family. They are understanding and compassionate. They know I'm not happy and try to give me support when I need it and keep their distance when I need my space. At least in this aspect in my life I am truly blessed. I am also glad that I have this forum and the support of my readers (With almost 400 hits in the last 2 months!!! WOW!!!). Even if no one read this blog, just writing it is good therapy.

End of rant.

    You're absolutely welcome!!

Sorry to keep you up in the air about the lodging question. J. agreed to help with the kids over WorldCon; now the big question mark is again my parents, or more specifically my Mom, with her latest medical stuff. I'm fairly sure the worst is over; I'm just waiting for her to report back to me on tests she was having done this week. Gah.
