California Here I Come.....
I am officially out of my mind.
In what has been the biggest move I have made in my mid-life fandom crisis, I'll be attending Comic-Con in San Diego next month. I have always wanted to go to this con since I have started going to conventions. It's the biggest media SF con in the world. Movie studios bring superstar guests to the con to hawk their upcoming movies. Basically this is the Super Bowl of the Comic, SF movie & TV universe. Add to the fact that Joss Whedon and almost the entire cast of Firefly will be there. I'm just a tad excited about this.
I'll be traveling 6,224 miles in the span of 90 hours, which doesn't leave too much time for sight-seeing (sorry Shamu). I'll be using a totally uncomfortable coach plane seat as my bed for part of the trip. I'll be going to what have many to said to be one of the nicest cities in the United States where it almost never rains and I'm spending 3 days there inside a huge building with 80,000 geeks.
Can't wait.

Wow, that's awesome!! Good for you :) It's sure to be one crazy insane trip... I don't know what I'd do with myself at a gigantic con like that! I'll stick to my little Flanvention I think (hee!), but have a wonderful time! :D
