A shameless attempt to jump on the Blog bandwagon.

Yeah, I know…I’m getting lazy….

To be honest there hasn’t been too much to write about these days on this end. I work; I take the kids out, etc. But I do have a few things I can press an option on….

  • I restarted my diet this week. After losing close to 80 lbs last year I found myself gaining a good amount of it back. I think what happened was that when I changed my routine when I left The Gulag, I just stopped going to the gym and it went downhill from there. I’m gonna go it this time with out the support groups and doctor visits this time as I am not gonna go as much without as I did before, but I hope to at least get back to where I was last summer. Then physically I felt the best I have in years, so why I converted back to bad habits I have no idea.
  • I took the little one to see “Robots” last weekend. It was a pretty good, but, sadly, it wasn’t as good as it could have been. At least it wasn’t as bad as “SharkTale”.
Speaking of CG animated films, I picked up “The Incredibles” on DVD yesterday and it’s one of the best DVDs ever produced. The 2nd disc is a must to watch from start to finish. The film itself is one of my all time favorite films period, but the DVD makes it just that more special.
  • What do I think at the steroid scandal in baseball? In short I’m against players using them, of course, but until players that did not use start ratting out the ones that do, it’s not gonna go away anytime soon. The owners might throw a few mid-level players under the bus to look good, but they are still not gonna really enforce the issue on the superstars. Still, it was kinda fun watching Selig and Fehr get chewed out by Congress today.
  • 18 days until opening day, but another 8 days for the much anticipated home opener. And for the first time in the mid-80s, unless a miracle happens, it looks as though I will not be there at the one opening day I would have given up all the previous opening days for – to see in person The Sox raise the World Champion Banner. Of course I can spend $500-$1500 for a ticket, but I’m only desperate, not foolish. Sigh……..
