...said the Spider to The Hey

Just a quick post before bed.....it's wicked late.

Took one my best friends out for dinner for his birthday.

We also went the opening Midnight screening of Spiderman 2.

All I can say is....wow. Go see it. I read all the kudos and high marks that the movie got and was afraid that my hopes were gonna get set too high. Fact is, they were not set high enough. If you are waiting for the summer's (or possibly one of the year's) best movie, this is it. Would I be sitting here writing a blog entry at 4AM if I didn't mean it?

Even if you hate superhero movies, see it. Really. This might be an unfair comparison, but like Star Trek IV, it's a movie that will appeal to both fans of the characters and people who never even heard of them or know the background or story. It's gonna make A LOT of money, and not just because of the hype. There is gonna be a lot of repeat business for this film. In fact, they'll be getting my money again when I take the kids to see it this weekend.

I'm taking the day off from The Gulag to sleep in and spend time with the Wife and Kids. What are they gonna do? Lay me off?
