Summertime and the living is kinda easy.....
Had another wonderful weekend.
Saturday we spend most of the day with friends and friends of friends. Nothing big or exciting just sitting around talking, having some BBQ (well, not me) and listening to music. Sometimes that's all ya need (That and some mosquito repellent).
My little one got to see her "best friend" (her words) from California for the first time since New Years. It's so neat to see the 2 of them play...they play together so nicely and they really enjoy each other's company. The hard part is separating them at the end of the day or when it's time to go. At least she'll be around for most of the summer so that's a good thing. In fact they gonna see each other again tomorrow at the zoo.
I don't know if it's the diet/lifestyle change or not, but I find myself enjoying being outside alot more than I used to. It's more than just the fact that it's summertime. In summers past I would still stay inside in the A/C even on really nice days and not even want to go in the backyard or the beach. Now I actually enjoy going and getting some fresh air.
Today I went to watch the Sox whup on the Phillies 12-3 on a picture perfect day at Fenway while the Wife and Kids went to a family birthday party (I know, I know...but I had these tickets since December, y'know?).
Curt Schilling had a very shaky start but the offence picked him up and he eventually settled down for the win. He's now 10-4 with an ERA of 3.24. One more win or at least a quality start and Joe Torre just might have to pick him to start the All-Star game, a move that will make his Boss a little agitated.
Again overall another good weekend. And now here comes another week at The Gulag. I should hear about that other position this week either way and hopefully it'll be good news.
