What The Hey.....

A shameless attempt to jump on the Blog bandwagon.

Well, I didn't get my dream job....and that's ok.

It would have been totally awesome, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. If I didn't like where I am now (low pay or not), I would be really upset about it. I'll still keep my ear to the ground about any opportunities, but I'm not gonna go scouring Monster.com and the want ads on a daily basis like I did when I at The Gulag.

I took my little one to see
The Polar Express and I highly recommend it, but if you live within 50 miles of a theatre that is playing it in IMAX, you MUST see it in that format!! It's truly a totally different experience than seeing it at your neighborhood theatre. Not as much for the bigger screen but for the crystal clear 3D images that truly sucks you in the experience. It is by far the best experience of it's kind outside of Disney World. I'm sure that even though it'll be on DVD next year, this film will play in IMAX theatres every Christmas for years and years to come and I'll be there to see it every holiday season. (Note: If you do plan on seeing it, get your tickets early. The IMAX theatres in New England have been selling out almost a week in advance!)

After the movie, we went Christmas Shopping for the Mrs. I cannot stress enough that I am SO happy that I'm just about done shopping. The crowds we experienced were so rude and hostile. Believe it or not, the crowds I experienced the day after Thanksgiving were so much more pleasant that the folks I encountered yesterday. I can only think the reason was that the people that were out were not finding what they were looking for and didn't know what to purchase, whereas on Black Friday people that venture out at 5am knew what they were planning to buy. The only reason I even went to a mall was because my little one wanted to browse. More and more every year I buy online unless I know I can get what I want much cheaper somewhere else or the shipping charges are too much. Buying online allows me to just have what I want to buy shipped to me and I can have it shipped to my P.O. Box where it can sit until I'm ready to go get it.

So true... I'ev finished my holiday shopping with the exception of a few stocking stuffers and have yet to set foot inside any store. Online's the way to go, so long's you've got the time to trust the shipping departments! (No probs so far, I'm expecting two more shipments still though!)
