Only 135 years to go for Warp Drive

Off all the years since I started writing a 2 in the year, 2004 has been the best for several reasons:

• The Red Sox Won the World Series.
• I spent less than 6 weeks on unemployment - a feat for me this decade.
  
• I ended the year with a content sense of usefulness as I have a job that I feel good about.
• The Red Sox Won the World Series.
• I lost a substantial amount of weight - granted, I gained a good chunk of it back, but at least I proved to myself that I can do it.
• I spent a day at Disney World by myself!!! (I know, you are not supposed to enjoy something like that without your family - at least not admit to it anyway...)
  
• The Red Sox Won the World Series!!!!

Granted everything in 2004 was not so good (Gulag, anyone?), but the good in the end outweighed the bad. Let's hope that 2005 turns out even better. I have several plans in the works both professionally, personally and socially that should make this year more memorable than last.

Oh, and did I mention that THE RED SOX WON THE WORLD SERIES?!?!??!
